Troubleshooting
Web parts are not available or showing names as %TITLE%
If something goes wrong with the add-in initialization when adding it on a SharePoint site, the web apps might not be visible when adding them to a page, or be displayed with an incorrect title displaying %TITLE % instead of the normal names.
To fix this, you need to remove and add the application again. Important is that the add-in is COMPLETELY removed from all trashcans before adding it again.
- Locate the Site contents of the site in classic mode
/_layouts/15/viewlsts.aspx
Remove the ImageVault Connect add-in
Head to the administrator recycle bin
/_layouts/15/AdminRecycleBin.aspx
and remove the ImageVault Connect add-inHead to the second-stage recycle bin
/_layouts/15/AdminRecycleBin.aspx?View=2
and remove the ImageVault Connect add-in- When add-in is completely removed from both trashcans, head back to the Site contents page
/_layouts/15/viewlsts.aspx
and add it again. - Wait until it is completely added to the site and then try to edit a web page and add the web parts again.
Note
- Removing and adding the add-in will not remove any existing web parts on any page.
- During the removal-add phase, pages will not be able to show the web parts.
- When the procedure above is completed, webparts on the pages will work as before.
Access is denied when accessing ImageVault UI
The Provider Web communicates with ImageVault through cross-domain requests (CORS) which have several limitations. Please verify the following list if you receive access denied errors while using any App Parts or other functionality in the Add-in:
- SharePoint, the Provider Web, and ImageVault UI uses the same HTTP protocol.
- Your web browser supports CORS.
- (Internet Explorer) All three sites are placed in the same internet security zone.
App Web data has been lost after consecutive reinstallations
This can be caused by lingering deletion tasks for the App Web. When the Add-in is removed from a site it will take upwards to 30 days before its App Web is deallocated and deleted. Conflicts may arise if another Add-in instance is installed during the time.
Please make sure to clear both the primary recycle bin, as well as the secondary stage recycle bin for the entire site collection, before reinstalling the Add-in if less than 30 days have passed since the previous removal.
